We have an exciting year of events planned for 2019. Your participation and support are greatly encouraged and appreciated! Please mark your calendars for the following dates and let me know if you’re able to help out and/or have any questions!
February 25th – Community Forum with Classic Air Care. 6-8 pm at Sopris Elementary Cafeteria. See attached flyer and invite your neighbors! Come meet the Classic crew and see the helicopter up close! (Helicopter will land at the school weather dependent)
March 6th – Airport Scenario Planning Public Meeting, 6 pm at Sopris Elementary. This is the first public meeting with the consultants, Gruen, Gruen + Associates, who are conducting the airport land use survey.
May 18th – Clean-Up Day and Potluck BBQ, Weather dependent. All volunteers welcome.
June 8-9th – KGWS Fly-In sponsored by Colorado Pilots Association. More details to follow.
June 26th – Cessna 180/185 Convention Pancake Breakfast at the Airport. Wednesday morning. Fly in for some pancakes or come see some cool aircraft!
August 17th – Aviation Expo. More details to follow.
